Dear Friends and Supporters,

We’re writing today to share two meaningful updates from our community — one reflecting urgent, life-changing impact, and another honoring the memory of a life through generosity and compassion.

Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund — Latest Update

Thanks to your continued support, the Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund, which serves students forcibly displaced from Artsakh, has reached another important milestone.

As of today:

  • Total applications received: 95 students

  • Students funded so far: 37

  • Total tuition paid: $14,533

  • Average assistance per student: $392

These payments ensured that 37 students were not blocked from exams or forced to discontinue their studies.

Many displaced students remain excluded from government tuition programs due to technical criteria, including remote learning, living outside Yerevan, changing majors, or transitioning from a Bachelor’s to a Master’s program. For these students, the scholarship fund is often the only option to stay in school.

We continue to receive new requests with urgent and rolling deadlines, and we are reviewing each case as funds allow.

In Memory of Sotiri George Sotiri

We also wish to share that the family of Sotiri George Sotiri, who recently passed away, chose to honor his memory in a deeply meaningful way.

In lieu of flowers, the family recommended that loved ones contribute to Lorik Humanitarian Fund to support our humanitarian projects. We are humbled by this gesture and honored to be included in their tribute.

Memorial gifts are among the most heartfelt forms of giving, and we extend our deepest condolences to the Sotiri family. May Sotiri George Sotiri’s memory be a blessing, and may his legacy live on through acts of compassion and support for those in need.

Thank You

Whether through supporting a student’s education or honoring a loved one’s memory, your generosity continues to strengthen families, preserve dignity, and build hope.

If you are able to support the Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund as we work through additional urgent cases, you may do so here:

With sincere gratitude,

Lorik Humanitarian Fund
