The temporary loss of much of the arable land and water resources of Artsakh has had a major impact on agriculture. Farmers must produce more with less. This includes less use of water and less use of land.
The fund aims to educate farmers on the benefits of greenhouse cultivation. After demonstrating that they are capable of operating a greenhouse the fund will finance the construction of a greenhouse for them.
Constructing greenhouses equipped with drip irrigation aims to use less water and land, while producing as much if not more nutritious food for the residents of Artsakh.
Lorik Humanitarian Fund’s purpose is to teach the populace “to fish” and not just “pass out fish”. Our plan is to get the people on their feet and able to sustain themselves and help their neighbors and nation.
