Arega Poghosyan is a 69-year-old woman who has endured unimaginable loss. In 1992, she lost her husband. In 1997, her son. And in 2023, after being forcibly displaced, she lost her last remaining son, Nelson, to war. Now, she lives in a crumbling house with 17 family members, struggling for basic necessities. No one has stable work, and her wounded grandson requires constant care. Arega has given everything to war—her husband, her sons, her home. Now, she fights simply to survive. Her story is not just one of loss—it is a plea for support. No mother should endure this much pain, and no family should live in such hardship. She lost her son when azerbaijan attacked in 2023. Her husband is also missing after the gas station explosion. She is left with her parents and two children. Babken Adamyan gave his life on September 19, 2023, while serving during the most recent war. Just days after his death, his wife, Armine and their two daughters, Venera and Lilit, were forcibly removed from their home. The family is enduring profound psychological and emotional hardship. Currently, Armine and her daughters are renting a home in Vanadzor. Armine has struggled to find work due to the challenges posed by her disability. Twice a year, she requires expensive medication to help delay the progression of her disease, adding further strain to their circumstances.
