Scholarship Fund Update: 28 Students Supported, 92 Applications Received

We are grateful to share an important update from the Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund, created to support students forcibly displaced from Artsakh. Thanks to your generosity, we have now covered the tuition fees for 28 students, ensuring they can continue their education during an unimaginably difficult time.

Because of you, 28 young people who were at risk of losing their education are still enrolled today.

📚 Why This Fund Exists

Following the forced displacement from Artsakh, hundreds of students suddenly found themselves in new cities, new living situations, and without any of the support systems they once relied on.

Many displaced students do not qualify for government assistance programs, including:

  • remote or distance learners

  • students living outside Yerevan

  • students who changed majors

  • those transitioning from a Bachelor’s to a Master’s program

  • programs excluded due to administrative criteria

These gaps mean that many Artsakh students, already displaced from their homes, also face the threat of losing their education.

The Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund exists to ensure that does not happen.

📊 Updated Numbers

  • Total applicants received: 92 students

  • Students funded so far: 28

  • Total amount paid: $10,936

  • Average assistance per student: $391

This is the impact you have made.

⏳ Urgent Deadlines Approaching

We currently have:

  • 7 additional students with a deadline tomorrow,

  • and another 12 students with a Monday deadline.

Without immediate support, these students will be unable to attend classes or take their exams. We are reviewing each case as it arrives, but our ability to respond depends entirely on available funds.

🙏 Thank You

Your generosity is providing stability, dignity, and hope to a generation of young people from Artsakh who are trying to rebuild their futures.
