Lorik Humanitarian Fund Visits St. John Armenian Church in San Francisco

Earlier this month, Lorik Humanitarian Fund visited St. John Armenian Apostolic Church in San Francisco to share updates on our humanitarian work and express our gratitude to the parish community for its generous support of families forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
Following Sunday Divine Liturgy, Lorik founder Shunt gave a presentation to parishioners about the organization's ongoing programs, including housing assistance, educational scholarships, small business development grants, children's programs, and cultural preservation.
The gathering was also an opportunity to discuss the continuing challenges facing families from Artsakh and the importance of sustained humanitarian support.
A Home Made Possible Through Generosity
St. John Armenian Apostolic Church previously contributed $20,000 toward the purchase of a permanent home for a family forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
During the presentation, we shared updates about the family and the home their generosity helped make possible.
For a family that lost its home and community, securing permanent housing represents an important step toward rebuilding stability and independence.
This home is among the 15 families Lorik has helped house through our Artsakh Homes: Rebuilding Communities initiative.
We are deeply grateful to the St. John parish community for making this achievement possible.
Reconnecting With the Armenian Community
The presentation took place following Sunday services, which were celebrated by visiting priest Der Garabed from South Carolina, while the parish's pastor was away.
It was a pleasure to meet with parishioners, share the progress of our work, and personally thank the community for its trust and generosity.
Support from Armenian communities throughout the diaspora remains essential to Lorik's ability to provide direct assistance to families rebuilding their lives in Armenia.
Continuing Our Work Together
Lorik Humanitarian Fund remains committed to providing housing, educational opportunities, economic assistance, and cultural programs for families forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
We extend our sincere appreciation to St. John Armenian Apostolic Church, its clergy, parish leadership, and parishioners for their hospitality and continued support.
Their contribution is a lasting example of what can be accomplished when communities come together to help families rebuild their lives.
