For many students displaced from Artsakh, continuing their education in Armenia is not guaranteed.

After losing their homes, communities, and stability, families are often forced to make difficult decisions — and for many, university becomes financially out of reach.

Through the Aznavour Saghyan Scholarship Fund, Lorik Humanitarian Fund has worked to ensure that displacement does not mean the end of education.

Today, we are supporting 104 displaced Artsakh students, helping cover half of their annual university tuition so they can continue their studies in Armenia.

The average support per student is modest — but the impact is significant.

Education is not just about completing a degree. It is about stability, independence, and the ability to rebuild a future after displacement.

A Personal Story

In the video above, you’ll see one of the students supported through this program.

Like many others, their path was interrupted by war and displacement. Continuing their education required support — not just financially, but as a signal that their future still matters.

These are not isolated cases.

They represent a broader reality faced by hundreds of young people navigating life after displacement.

Program Impact

To date, the scholarship program has provided approximately:

19,862,450 AMD (~$53,000) in tuition support across 104 students

Each scholarship helps ensure that students can remain enrolled, continue their studies, and move forward with a degree that will shape their future.

Why This Matters

Long-term recovery is not only about housing or immediate relief.

It depends on whether the next generation is able to:

  • Continue their education

  • Build careers

  • Support themselves and their families

Without support, many of these students would be forced to pause or abandon their studies entirely.

Support the Scholarship Fund

As the number of students grows, so does the need to sustain this program.
