This past week, the Lorik Fund, in partnership with the beloved Artsakh Tsil Puppet Studio, completed a meaningful and joyful series of 15 puppet shows across the Syunik region, bringing smiles, creativity, and connection to children living in some of Armenia’s most vulnerable border villages.
But this wasn’t just about entertainment. Each visit was a small festival of hope — a mobile cultural center where children not only laughed at the antics of the puppets but also learned new skills, expressed their creativity, and connected with one another through art.
Alongside the puppet shows, we hosted:
🎨 Arts and crafts sessions
🧱 Clay modeling workshops
🧵 Needlework and embroidery lessons
🧶 Mini carpet weaving classes
🤹 Interactive games and community play
For many of these children, it was their first time taking part in such hands-on, joyful activities. In places where access to cultural programming is nearly nonexistent and daily life is often marked by insecurity and hardship, these moments are profound. They remind children — and their families — that they are not forgotten.
Next Stop: Tavush — And We Need Your Help
We're now preparing for the next phase of our outreach: 15 more shows in the Tavush region, another area deeply impacted by border insecurity.
Your support made the Syunik tour possible — and we need your help again to bring the same joy, creativity, and connection to the children of Tavush.

Together, we can continue to plant seeds of resilience, hope, and healing — one show, one smile, and one handmade puppet at a time.
Thank you for standing with us and with these incredible children.
With gratitude,The Lorik Fund Team
